Marlborough Rock and Mineral Club

Open Sundays from 10am until 4pm

The Clubrooms are the repository of the Marlborough region's geological heritage bringing together people's interest in fossils, minerals, crystals, and lapidary.
Sales table of member's work, and donated items. We have a wide range of mineral and fossil material from the Marlborough region as well as other areas in New Zealand and overseas.
The well set out workroom is available for club members.
General meetings are held the third Sunday of the month at the Club Rooms at 4pm. We often have guest speakers who are experts in their fields or run an educational session. All are welcome to attend. Come along for a friendly chat and a cuppa.
Library - The books held by our club are for the use of financial members and may be borrowed on a monthly basis. Please ensure that the necessary details of the borrower are filled in when taking out the publication.
Field Trips - These are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month and leave from our Clubrooms at the time specified in the programme. If there is a change in starting venue, this will be shown in the newsletter and/or made known at the monthly meeting night. Look at the chalk board in the main meeting room for information.
Workshop - Opening hours are 11am to 4pm each Sunday. If no Supervisor’s are present, only senior club members who are acknowledged as able to work unsupervised may use the equipment. No person may work in the workroom alone or without supervision. There are also workshop nights on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 7pm until about 9 - 9.30.
